St. Mary's Church, located in Auburn, Kings County, is one of the oldest churches |
in Nova Scotia, and was the second Anglican Church to be consecrated in British |
North America. The Church was begun and completed in the year 1790 and was |
consecrated on October 10 of that year by Charles Inglis, the first Bishop of Nova |
Scotia. Through the years, St. Mary's has witnessed the passing of many |
generations as well as great events in history, and has been able to maintain a |
certain individuality and charm all its own. |

Englishman, Ordnance Storekeeper of the garrison at Halifax, and holder of one of |
